Luise Rinser

Luise Rinser (1911–2002) was a German writer. She was born in Pitzling in Upper Bavaria and died in Munich. Her works include the novel “Die gläsernen Ringe” (1941), the “Gefängnistagebuch” (Prison Diary, 1946), the story “Jan Lobel aus Warschau” (1948), the Nina novels “Mitte des Lebens” and “Abenteuer der Tugend,” and the novels “Mirjam” (1983), “Silberschuld” (1987), and “Abaelards Liebe” (1991). Her diary writings reflected a keen interest in human lives and political events. Rinser received numerous awards.
