Luis Teichmann, born in 1996, completed a voluntary social year in emergency medical services after graduating from secondary school and qualified as an emergency medical technician. In 2016, he began studying rescue engineering at TH Köln, completing the program with a Master of Science in 2022. He continued working in emergency medical services during his studies. His first book, *Einsatz am Limit*, spent twelve weeks on the SPIEGEL bestseller list.
