Lucy Cooke grew up in Sussex, England, and studied zoology at the University of Oxford, specializing in evolution and animal behavior. She worked as a documentary filmmaker and presenter, including for BBC1 and National Geographic, wrote for publications such as the Huffington Post and The Telegraph, and gave TED Talks and other lectures. National Geographic honored her for her work on misunderstood animals. Her book »Die erstaunliche Wahrheit über Tiere« was published in 2018.
