Luciano Floridi

Luciano Floridi (born 1964) is a philosopher and ethicist of information. His professional positions have included a professorship in Philosophy and Ethics of Information at the University of Oxford, as well as serving as Director of Research and Senior Research Fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute. His research on the philosophy of information has received several distinctions, including the Barwise Prize, the Covey Award, and the Weizenbaum Award. He also chaired the Onlife research group established by the European Commission to examine the effects of information and communication technologies on society.
