Luciano De Crescenzo

Luciano De Crescenzo was born in Naples in 1928 and died in Rome on 18 July 2019. Trained as an engineer, he worked for IBM, rising from a sales representative in Naples to marketing director in Rome. He later worked as a writer, actor, director, and talk-show host. In his books, the Italian author explored philosophical themes in an accessible and entertaining way. His best-known works include *Thus Spoke Bellavista*, which was successfully adapted for film.
