Lorraine Daston

Lorraine Daston, born in 1951 in East Lansing, Michigan, is a historian of science. From 1995 until her retirement in 2019, she was a director at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin. Her work in the history of science has addressed key concepts of modern science, including rationality and objectivity.
