Lina Nordquist, born in 1977 in Norrala, Sweden, grew up in Hälsingland. Alongside her literary work, she has worked as an associate professor of physiology, a diabetes researcher and a politician. In 2018, she became a member of the Swedish parliament. Her debut novel, *My Heart Is a Crow*, was named Book of the Year in Sweden.
