Lilli Gruber was born in Bolzano and is an Italian journalist, television presenter, and author. She worked for newspapers including La Stampa and Corriere della Sera and also contributed to German television. She was the first woman to anchor Italy’s main evening news program. In 2004, she was elected to the European Parliament. The award-winning journalist has published several books; her family memoir Das Erbe. Die Geschichte meiner Südtiroler Familie was released in German in 2013.
