Liliana Le Hingrat

Liliana Le Hingrat was born in Romania in 1967. She studied history at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iași and worked as a freelance correspondent for a Romanian daily newspaper. Her historical debut novel, “Das dunkle Herz der Welt,” received the 2016 Golden Homer Award in the category “Historical Biography / Historical Event.” The award particularly recognized the novel’s historically accurate portrayal of its protagonist’s life.
