Lidia Maksymowicz

Lidia Maksymowicz was born in 1940. In late 1943, she was deported from Belarus to Auschwitz-Birkenau together with her mother, a brother, and her grandparents. She spent thirteen months in the camp’s children’s barracks and was subjected to human experiments. After the camp’s liberation on January 27, 1945, she was reunited with her mother in 1962.
