Leanne Toshiko Simpson

Leanne Toshiko Simpson, born in 1992, has Canadian-Japanese roots. She was named Scarborough’s “Emerging Writer” in 2016 and was nominated for the Journey Prize in 2019. Simpson co-founded a reflective writing program at a psychiatric hospital in Canada. Never Been Better is her debut novel.
