Leah Goldberg

Leah Goldberg (1911–1970) was an Israeli poet, theater critic, translator, and children’s author, born in Königsberg. She earned a doctorate in Bonn and emigrated to pre-state Israel in 1935. Goldberg wrote in several languages and mastered six languages. Her literary work received numerous awards, including the Israel Prize in 1970.
