Lawrence Block

Lawrence Block (born 1938) is an American crime writer. He has written more than fifty crime novels and numerous short stories. Block was named a Grand Master of the Mystery Writers of America and received the Edgar Award and the Shamus Award four times each. In 2004, he received the Diamond Dagger from the British Crime Writers’ Association for lifetime achievement.
