Laurens Schlicht studied history and philosophy in Magdeburg and Frankfurt am Main. He received his doctorate in 2016. During his academic career, he worked as a research associate on projects concerned with the “epistemologies of knowledge about human beings” and “mind-reading as a cultural technique,” including at Goethe University Frankfurt and Humboldt University of Berlin. Another academic position was at the Chair of Romance Cultural Studies and Intercultural Communication at Saarland University.
