Laurence J. Peter

Laurence J. Peter (1919–1990) was a Canadian educator and author. He worked as a teacher, educational and social counsellor, school psychologist, prison teacher and university professor. He became known as the originator of the Peter Principle and published works including The Peter Principle in the Light of New Research and The Peter Program. Peter died in California in 1990.
