Laura Wood

Laura Wood was born in the English Midlands. She studied English literature in Kent and Warwick and completed a doctorate on nineteenth-century literature. Wood has published books for children and young adults as well as adult fiction. Her first children’s book won the Montegrappa Scholastic Prize for New Children’s Writing. Her debut young adult novel was *A Sky Painted Gold* (German: »Ein Himmel aus Gold«), and *Under Your Spell*, published in 2024, was her first novel for adults.
