Laura Vinogradova

Born in Latvia in 1984, Laura Vinogradova writes for children and adults. She studied business administration at Riga Technical University and began writing at the age of 30. Her first book, »Baby Langnase aus dem Langnasendorf«, was published in 2017. It was followed by the short-story collections »Ausatmen« and »Bärenhügel«, and the two-volume children’s book »Geschichten aus dem Wald«. Her first novel, »Wie ich lernte, den Fluss zu lieben«, was shortlisted for the Latvian Literature Award and received the European Union Prize for Literature in 2021.
