Laura van den Berg was born in 1983 and grew up in Florida. She has published two short-story collections, which received honors including the Rosenthal Award for Fiction. Her debut novel, *Find Me*, was published in 2015 and nominated for the International Dylan Thomas Prize. Her novel *The Third Hotel* was nominated for the 2019 NYPL Young Lions Fiction Award.
