Laura Summers

Laura Summers grew up in South London and initially worked as a teacher. She later wrote screenplays for children’s television series. Her script for the preschool series *The Little Princess* was nominated for a Children’s BAFTA by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. The idea for her book grew out of her personal experience of having a child with a disability.
