Laura Imai Messina

Laura Imai Messina is an Italian writer from Rome. She moved to Japan at the age of 23, earned a doctorate from the University of Foreign Studies, and taught at various universities. Her novel *The Phone Booth at the Edge of the World* became a bestseller in Italy and the United Kingdom and was widely translated internationally. *Goro Goro* was her first book for children.
