Lars Fredrik Händler Svendsen (born 1970) is a philosopher who worked as a professor of philosophy at the University of Bergen. His works include *A Philosophy of Boredom* (2002), *A Philosophy of Loneliness* (2016), and *A Philosophy of Lying* (2022). His books have been translated into more than 20 languages and have received several awards. In 2022, he received the Philosophical Book Prize for *A Philosophy of Loneliness*.
