Born in Hamburg in 1969, Lars Haider began his journalistic career at various newspapers and served, among other positions, as editor-in-chief of the Weser-Kurier. In 2011, he became editor-in-chief of the Hamburger Abendblatt. His published works include a biography of Olaf Scholz, which reached the Spiegel bestseller list in 2022, and the book “Das Phänomen Markus Lanz – Auf jede Antwort eine Frage.” Haider is also the author of the crime series featuring Hamburg investigator Lukas Hammerstein; its first volume, “Einer muss den Job ja machen,” was published in 2023.
