Lars Chittka

Lars Chittka was born in Bad Homburg and earned his doctorate in Berlin under Randolf Menzel. In 2005, he was appointed Professor of Sensory and Behavioural Ecology at Queen Mary University of London. His research has covered entomology, evolutionary biology, cognition, sensory ecology and behavioural biology. A particular focus of his work has been the intelligence of bees and bumblebees, as well as interactions between insects and plants.
