Kristina Dunker

Kristina Dunker (born in 1973 in Dortmund) studied art history and archaeology in Bochum and Pisa and worked as a freelance journalist before becoming known as an author. She published her first book in the early 1990s. Since then, she has written numerous books for children and young adults, including “Anna Eisblume” and “Ein bisschen schwanger.” Her work has received several awards and grants, including the Young Talent Literature Prize of the city of Voerde and a sponsorship award from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. From 2013 to 2019, she served on the jury of the Gustav Heinemann Peace Prize. Some of her texts have been adapted for theater, musicals, and symphonic concerts.
