Author · 2 books
Jiddu Krishnamurti (1895–1986) was born in South India to Brahmin parents and educated in England. At the age of fourteen, Annie Besant, president of the Theosophical Society, presented him as a future “World Teacher.” In 1911, the Society established an international organization with Krishnamurti as its head. After years of questioning this role, he dissolved the organization in 1929. He subsequently traveled internationally as an independent speaker, addressing self-awareness, human relationships, and the causes of conflict.
