Kordula Knaus

Kordula Knaus studied concert guitar at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and musicology at the University of Graz. She also worked as a dramaturgy and directing assistant at an opera house. From 2002, she was a research associate at the University of Graz’s Institute of Musicology; she earned her doctorate in 2003. In 2007, she held a visiting professorship at New York City College, and in 2010 she completed her habilitation. She worked as an assistant professor at the University of Graz. Her research has focused on Italian and German opera, Baroque music, the musical culture around 1900, Alban Berg, and gender and intersectionality studies.
