Klaus Baumgart

Klaus Baumgart (born 1951) is a German picture-book artist and graphic designer. More than ten million copies of his books have been sold worldwide. His best-known works include the »Laura’s Star« series, »The Little Dream Mixer« and »Elli – Monster Secret«, as well as the picture books »Rabbit Without Ears« and »Two-Eared Chick«, created in collaboration with Til Schweiger. In 1999, Baumgart became the first German author to be nominated for the English Children’s Book Award. He has received numerous awards and taught communication design at Berlin’s HTW University of Applied Sciences for several years.
