Kirk Mitchell

Kirk (John) Mitchell was an American author. He primarily wrote science fiction and alternate-history novels, as well as novelizations of films; he also published some works under the pseudonym Joel Norst. In the German-speaking world, he became particularly known for his Germanicus trilogy: “Procurator” (1984; German 1988), “The New Barbarians” (1988; German “Imperator,” 1989), and “Cry Republic” (1989; German “Liberator,” 1990). Mitchell studied English literature at the University of Redlands, graduating magna cum laude.
