Khalid al- Maaly

Khalid al-Maaly was born in 1956 in As-Samawa, Iraq. For political reasons, he fled first to France and later to West Germany in 1979. From 1980 onward, he worked as a writer and translated numerous Arab poets into German. In 2008, he founded his own publishing house in Beirut.
