Kevin Eastman

Kevin Eastman (born 1962) is an American comics artist and publisher. In 1983, he co-founded Mirage Studios with Peter Laird; there they published the first comic featuring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 1984. The series became an international success and was adapted into films and television series, as well as merchandising. In 1990, Eastman founded Tundra Publishing to support independent comics creators. From 1992 until early 2014, he served as publisher and editor-in-chief of the American comics magazine Heavy Metal. His other works include Fistful of Blood, Cage Hero, Drawing Blood, and Zombie War. Eastman has an extensive collection of original comic art and has also worked as an actor, producer, and photographer.
