Kester Schlenz (born 1958) is a German journalist and author. He studied linguistics and psychology and worked as a freelance journalist while still at university. He later worked for magazines including BRIGITTE and STERN, serving as head of BRIGITTE’s Culture and Entertainment section for six years and holding the equivalent position at STERN for nine years. He became known for nonfiction books about becoming and being a father, including “Mensch, Papa! Vater werden – das letzte Abenteuer” and “Alter Sack, was nun?”. He has also written books for children and young adults, as well as crime novels co-authored with Jan Jepsen. In his youth, Schlenz played drums in a band.
