Kerstin Reinke is a German linguist specializing in pronunciation acquisition, pronunciation teaching, and phonetics in German as a foreign and second language. She completed her doctorate and habilitation in speech-science phonetics in German as a foreign language at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. From 2011 onward, she worked as a professor at the Herder Institute of Leipzig University in various German-as-a-foreign- and second-language programs. From April 2018, she worked freelance in the field of German as a foreign and second language, with a focus on phonetics, and contributed as an author, co-author, and lecturer for Ernst Klett Sprachen.
