Kerstin Gier

Kerstin Gier (born 1966) is a German-language author. She published her first book in 1995 and has written novels for adults and young readers. Her best-known works include the Ruby Red trilogy—“Ruby Red,” “Sapphire Blue,” and “Emerald Green”—as well as the “Silber” series. The Ruby Red trilogy achieved international success and was adapted for the cinema. In 2005, Gier received the DeLiA Literary Prize for “Ein unmoralisches Sonderangebot,” recognized as the best German-language romance novel. Before becoming a writer, she worked as a qualified educationalist.
