Kenya Hara

Kenya Hara (born 1958) is a Japanese designer. He was a professor at Musashino Art University in Tokyo and served as MUJI’s artistic director from 2002. His work focuses on the circumstances and conditions of design rather than on objects themselves. His designs have been exhibited internationally and received numerous awards, including the Japanese Cultural Design Award.
