Katja Schneidt, born in 1970, is a German author. For many years, she worked as a volunteer in refugee aid and in violence and conflict counseling. She published several books with mvg, including the Spiegel bestseller “Gefangen in Deutschland” and “Wir schaffen es nicht.” Her writing also addresses personal experiences from a relationship with a Turkish man and life within his Muslim extended family.
