Katja Rau

Katja Rau (born 1979) trained and studied in 2D animation, character design and animation design. She began working as a freelance illustrator in 2005. Her book illustrations include children’s books as well as nonfiction and schoolbooks. Rau works in both realistic and cartoon styles, using analogue and digital techniques. Inspired by animated films, she developed an interest in becoming an illustrator as a child.
