Kathy Acker

Kathy Acker (1947–1997) was an American writer and artist. Born in New York, she became known for experimental texts influenced by popular culture, often incorporating found material and addressing sexuality and violence. Her breakthrough came with “Bis aufs Blut.” Acker died in Tijuana, Mexico, in 1997 from cancer-related illness.
