Kathrin R. Hotowetz

Kathrin R. Hotowetz, born in 1965, studied agricultural engineering and has worked as a full-time writer since 2014. She is best known for the crime and mystery series “Im Schatten der Hexen,” whose first volume, “Hexenring,” was inspired by her interest in local herbal medicine and by acquiring and renovating an early medieval monastery mill in the Harz region. “Hexenring” was named “Harz Book of the Year.” In 2021, Hotowetz received the “Personality of the Year” award from the city of Halberstadt for her involvement in the Harz region. Another of her works is “Das versunkene Heiligtum.”
