Kathleen Kent

Kathleen Kent was born in 1953 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Texas. She wrote historical novels including *The Heretic’s Daughter*, *The Traitor’s Wife*, and *The Outcasts*. Her first thriller, *Die Tote mit der roten Strähne*, was nominated for the Edgar Award and the Nero Award; its sequel, *Der Weg ins Feuer*, also received an Edgar Award nomination.
