Katharina Stornig (born 1980) is a historian. She held a junior professorship in cultural history at the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC) and the Historical Institute of Justus Liebig University Giessen. Her research has focused on women’s and gender history, the history of religion and missions, colonial history, and the history of mobility. Her monograph “Sisters Crossing Boundaries: German Missionary Nuns in Colonial Togo and New Guinea, 1897–1960” was published in 2013.
