Katharina Hacker

Katharina Hacker, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1967, studied philosophy, history and Jewish studies in Freiburg and Jerusalem. After spending several years in Israel, she worked as a freelance author. She made her debut in 1997 with »Tel Aviv. Eine Stadterzählung«. Her works include the novel »Die Habenichtse«, which received the German Book Prize in 2006, »Skip« (2015), the collection of minute essays »Darf ich dir das Sie anbieten?« (2019), »Alles, was passieren wird« (2021) and »Die Gäste« (2022). In 2021, she received the Droste Prize of the city of Meersburg.
