Karsten Visarius

Karsten Visarius (born 1952) is a German publicist and film critic. He studied literature and linguistics in Marburg and worked as a freelance contributor to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Frankfurter Rundschau from 1980 to 1990. He wrote filmographies of Roman Polanski and Akira Kurosawa and was a co-editor and author of the Arnoldshainer Filmgespräche series until 2009. He also directed the EKD’s Film Cultural Centre at the Gemeinschaftswerk der Evangelischen Publizistik, served as managing director of the Jury der Evangelischen Filmarbeit, and was executive director of INTERFILM.
