Karl-Heinz Raach

Karl-Heinz Raach, born in 1959, studied sociology and ethnology in Freiburg and Montreal. From 1984 onward, he worked as a freelance photojournalist and traveled worldwide for his reporting. His photographs appeared in numerous magazines and travel publications, as well as in many illustrated books and calendars. In 2011, he and Verlagshaus Würzburg received the ITB Berlin BookAward for the illustrated book “Premium XXL Kanada.” He also published works about Freiburg and the Black Forest through his own publishing venture.
