Karin Kalisa

Karin Kalisa (born 1965) is a writer and scholar. She was trained in Japanese studies and the philosophy of language; her scholarly work included Asian languages, philosophical concepts, and ethnographic description. Her debut novel, *Sungs Laden* (2015), remained on the bestseller list for 36 weeks and was translated into several languages. It was followed by the winter novella *Sternstunde* and the novels *Radio Activity*, *Bergsalz*, *Fischers Frau*, and *Magst Du die Nacht?*.
