Karen Armstrong

Karen Armstrong was born in 1944. In 2008, she received the Four Freedoms Medal for Freedom of Worship from the Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Institute, and in 2009 an award from the Common Ground Institute for promoting interreligious understanding. Her roles included serving as an adviser to the British Museum and as a member of the Royal Society of Literature in London.
