Julie Bender

Julie Bender was born in Hamburg and studied creative writing, specializing in books for children and young adults. After working in various professions, she turned to writing stories for younger readers. She has a particular interest in the sea and maritime literature, an enthusiasm that was fostered in her family from an early age. The idea for her book “Der Schatz des Arabers” came to her while viewing the Bremen cog at the German Maritime Museum.
