Julian Press

Julian Press was born in Hamburg in 1960. He is the son of children’s author and illustrator Hans-Jürgen Press. He studied graphic design and illustration in Hamburg and then completed an internship at a publisher of books for young readers. He subsequently worked for youth magazines and advertising agencies. Press initially developed and illustrated books for the »Spiel und Spaß« series, including »Spielstraße«, »Im Kindergarten«, »Tiere von A–Z«, »In der Natur« and »In der Schule«. He is also known for his own puzzle crime stories and seek-and-find books, which he created as both author and illustrator. His books have been translated into more than 20 languages.
