Julia Shaw

Julia Shaw, PhD, was born in Cologne in 1987 and grew up in Canada. She is a legal psychologist and researcher who has taught and conducted research at institutions including University College London and London South Bank University, focusing in particular on false memories, memory and artificial intelligence. Shaw has also worked as a speaker and consultant. Her book The Memory Illusion (German: „Das trügerische Gedächtnis“) became an international bestseller in 2016 and was published in around 20 countries. Her second book, Evil: The Psychology of Our Dark Side (German: „Böse. Die Psychologie unserer Abgründe“), followed in 2018.
