Julia Kohli was born in Winterthur in 1978. She completed an apprenticeship in bookselling and studied scientific illustration, English studies, Eastern European history and cultural journalism in Zurich. Her writing appeared in publications including Das Magazin and NZZ am Sonntag. In 2018, her novel “Böse Delphine” received the Studer/Ganz Prize for the best unpublished prose debut; it was published by Lenos in 2019. In 2021, she published the short-story collection “Menschen wie Dirk”.
