Julia Donaldson

Julia Donaldson, born in London in 1948, worked as an editor and teacher. She published numerous picture books, many of them in collaboration with Axel Scheffler. One of her best-known works is The Gruffalo. Her book Bert’s Flower was inspired by an episode of the BBC series Natural World, in which David Attenborough discussed the behaviour of the bowerbird.
